Paul’s Picks for Jazz Band

Someone recently asked me to name my five favorite jazz ensemble charts that I’ve written…I responded “That’s a tough question” and then I thought… maybe the one I just finished? Seriously, I really do enjoy writing for jazz ensemble and each chart is it’s own puzzle to solve. For me it’s solved when I think that I personally would use it on a gig. Whether that’s with a middle or high school honors band, a community jazz band made up of adults and come-back players or a group of pros! So here’s my quick list “Paul’s Picks for Jazz Band.” Each of these has something to offer. You can click on the links below to check them out. Drop me a note and let me know what you think.

Thanks, Paul
